Subject: Identification
This clip is a fragment of the 1906 Pathé film "Aladdin et la lampe merveilleuse," directed by Albert Capellani and Segundo de Chomón. A spectacular and apparently complete hand-colored print survives elsewhere (and, at the time of this writing, is available on YouTube); however, this black-and-white fragment preserves more visual detail. Bravo to the 35mm Stock Footage collection for making these clips available!
